In April 2022, Microsoft introduced the new Microsoft Purview solution which offers a range of features including Insider Risk Management, eDiscovery, Data Loss Prevention and Information Protection. Whilst requiring E5 licensing, Microsoft Purview provides a comprehensive range of data protection features, particularly for small and medium sized organisations which have historically been unable to afford or access comparable tools.
