I frequently find myself talking to clients and professional peers about High Risk Roles, only to be met with blank looks. Many people have never heard of the term and may be unused to combining Security and HR Position Management data to help identify which position numbers pose the greatest inherent trusted insider risk from the perspective of access or opportunity to critical assets. Identifying those position numbers (and employees) who have the greatest opportunity to cause harm to an organisation enables better targeting of continuous monitoring for incumbent staff and the application of enhanced vetting (background checks) prior to appointing an internal or external candidate to a role.
